Window wall & storefront

Window wall and storefront, delivered as assemblies rather than parts.

When the glazing becomes the wall, the job stops being a window order and starts being a building-envelope package. We supply window wall, storefront and PTAC systems pre-assembled so the site sequence is a set instead of a build.

Systems

Three systems that solve different parts of the elevation.

Window wall spans floor to floor, sitting on the slab edge and stopping at the underside of the slab above. It is the workhorse of mid-rise multifamily because each floor is independent, so you can glaze story by story as the structure goes up, instead of waiting for the whole frame.

Storefront is the ground-floor system: taller spans, heavier framing, and the entrance doors integrated into the same grid so the retail frontage reads as one plane.

PTAC window systems combine fixed glazing with an aluminum louver panel that serves a through-wall heating and cooling unit. Retrofitting these in hospitality and multifamily is one of the more common reasons a property manager calls us, and getting the louver detail right is most of the job.

Delivering these pre-assembled is the point. Fewer parts to stage, fewer pieces to lose, and a faster, more repeatable install sequence per floor.

Common questions

Questions homeowners and builders ask us

What is the difference between window wall and curtain wall?

Curtain wall hangs off the face of the structure and runs continuously past the slab edges. Window wall sits between slabs, floor to floor. Window wall is generally faster and cheaper to install on mid-rise residential because each floor is independent of the one above it; curtain wall gives you the uninterrupted vertical glass line but costs more to engineer and erect.

Can you match a specified performance package?

Impact, acoustic and thermal packages are available on select systems and specified per project. Send the performance section of the spec and we will tell you what we can hit and where a substitution would be required, rather than quoting first and discovering the gap later.

Do you handle installation?

We coordinate it through our network of vetted installation partners. On multi-building developments, ground-up commercial and large retrofit programs we manage the installation with one schedule and one point of contact. On single-building and tenant-improvement work we normally supply and connect you with a vetted installer. See commercial windows.
